MEET AURORA

HAIR & MAKEUP ARTIST BASED IN LONDON

I’m a French hair and makeup artist based in London, with more than 10 years of experience in the industry. I trained at the prestigious Make Up Forever Academy, which gave me a strong foundation in both hair and makeup, before going on to work with clients across Europe and at weddings in some truly beautiful destinations.

My approach is all about creating that effortlessly polished French feel, with radiant skin, soft definition and elegant hair that feels refined without looking overly done. I love creating looks that enhance what makes each bride unique, while still feeling completely like you.

Alongside weddings, I’ve had the opportunity to work with magazines and VIP clients, experiences which have helped me develop an eye for detail and a real appreciation for beautifully considered, polished looks. I’m naturally calm and organised, and I love creating a relaxed atmosphere where my brides can enjoy the morning and feel completely looked after.

“Aurora Made Me Feel Like a Queen! I can’t thank Aurora enough for the incredible work she did on my wedding day. From the moment we met, she made me feel completely at ease. She listened carefully to what I wanted and somehow made it even better than I imagined. The makeup was flawless - soft, elegant, and perfectly suited to my skin tone and features.”

What do you love about weddings?

For me, one of the most special things about weddings is being welcomed into such an important and personal part of someone’s day. Having been a bride myself, I know how much thought goes into every little detail and how important it is to feel confident and comfortable when the moment finally arrives. I love being able to take some of that pressure away, helping my brides get ready at a relaxed pace and making sure they feel amazing when they look in the mirror.

I also really enjoy getting to know each bride and understanding what makes her feel like herself. Whether that means keeping things beautifully natural or adding a little more glam, I want the finished look to feel personal rather than simply following a trend.

What’s one of your career highlights?

I’ve been incredibly lucky to work with brides in some unforgettable places across Europe and beyond. From the beautiful Villa d’Este on Lake Como and weddings along the French Riviera, to working in Paris and travelling as far as Morocco, each destination has brought a completely different experience. Being able to combine my love of travel with my work, while helping brides feel confident and special in such incredible surroundings, is something I feel very grateful for.

What must-have products can be found in your kit?

Some of my most-used products include Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Filter, a waterproof mascara (the Volume of Chanel), Hourglass concealer, Laura Mercier powder, Westman Atelier contour stick, Dior Backstage foundation, Charlotte Tilbury lip liner, Giorgio Armani Liquid Highlighter, Liquid Lipstick Lip Blur by Charlotte Tilbury, and Nuxe Body oil!

What's your top tip for brides-to-be?

My biggest piece of advice is to keep things simple in the run-up to your wedding. Your wedding morning isn’t the time to introduce a brand-new skincare product, treatment or hair routine. Stick with what you know works well for you.

On the day itself, give yourself permission to slow down and enjoy the morning. Your hair and makeup appointment should be a chance to relax, take a breath and spend some time with the people around you, rather than something to rush through.

BRIDAL PREVIEW LOCATION

Aurora holds all bridal previews at her home in central London.

“Aurora did my bridal look at my destination wedding in Marrakesh. I was stressed because we had to do the trial the day before as I live abroad. She put me at ease immediately and ensured I was 100% happy about my look. She is very professional and has much knowledge about hair and makeup artistry. She stayed with me all day to do some touch-ups and was very discreet.”
