HOW IT WORKS

1. Get In Touch

I’d love to hear from you! Get in touch via the contact page providing as much information about your enquiry as possible so that I can answer any questions you have and provide an accurate quote.

I’ll get back to you via email within 48 hours with a detailed quote and proposed wedding day schedule.

2. Let’s Make Plans

Upon receiving your enquiry, I will get back to you with a quote based on the details you’ve provided and answering any questions you might have.

If you proceed with a booking, a booking fee payment is required, which gives you the reassurance that your date is fully secured. You’ll then receive a Bridal Information Pack with lots of useful tips on how to prepare for the trial and wedding day!

3. Your Bridal Preview

Once your wedding date is secured we can arrange your trial or bridal preview (recommended 3-6 months prior to your wedding date). At your bridal preview we can discuss all of your personal requirements on a one-to-one basis and trial your perfect wedding day look. It allows you to see how your skin and/or hair reacts with the products used and gives you a chance to provide feedback so that any necessary adjustments can be made for the wedding day. I’ll take notes of the products used and lots of pictures so that your perfect bridal look can be recreated on your wedding day. Before the big day, you’ll be sent a time schedule for the morning so that everything runs smoothly and everyone is ready in time for the ceremony.

4. The Big Day

I want your wedding hair and makeup experience to be as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. I’ll make sure that you feel relaxed, pampered, and prepared to enjoy your special day! I will always take care of the bride, but depending on the size of the bridal party I may enlist an additional artist/s to help with members of the bridal party (this will be discussed when you make a booking).

A detailed schedule will be confirmed and agreed upon with you before the big day so that you and your bridal party know exactly when each person is required in the chair and for how long.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why do I need Professional Hair and Makeup?

  • There are many reasons why having a professional hair and makeup artist is worth having for your wedding day:

Professional experience: As a Bridal Hair and Makeup specialist with years of experience and hundreds of weddings under my belt, I know exactly how the process works and what is required to ensure a calm, stress-free experience.

Keeping things organised: A clear and detailed schedule for the wedding morning ensures that everyone is ready in good time and no one will feel rushed. I know how long things take and will ensure that everyone is accounted for.

Longevity: As we all know, weddings are usually long days! Makeup and hair are often carried out very early and need to last. I use the latest products and techniques to ensure that your makeup will last throughout and your hair will withstand the many hours of dancing!

The bridal party: When dealing with a larger bridal party including several bridesmaids, flower girls and mums, you will need a professional to help! I create a schedule so that everyone knows when they are required in the chair and if timings are tight or numbers are high, I may bring additional artists to assist with getting everyone ready on time.

No hidden costs: Pricing quotes are detailed and transparent, so you know exactly what you’re getting for the money you pay.

  • The price for UK wedding hair and makeup services will depend on the stylist, location, level of experience, and what they offer as part of their bridal package. Prices are usually listed on a stylist’s website, and sometimes bespoke packages are provided. To view my current prices please click here.

Why Choose Me?

  • I understand how important it is to look your best on your wedding day. Wedding makeup should enhance a bride’s natural beauty, not mask it. Every bride is unique and her makeup should reflect her own style. Taking the time to listen to my brides allows me to understand their dream bridal beauty vision so I can work with them, making suggestions on how the overall look will work best for them.

You will be able to relax, feeling confident that you will look and feel fantastic on your big day.

It is vital that your wedding day makeup lasts all day long and having an experienced makeup artist will guarantee that. Wedding makeup needs to look beautiful not only on camera but also in the flesh. Using expert application techniques and high-end products, I will create a flawless makeup look that leaves you looking and feeling stunning.

  • I will take great care to understand exactly how you want your wedding hair for your big day. Using my professional knowledge and experience, I will advise on the best hairstyle to suit you and you hair type so that you will look the best version of yourself on your special day.

There are so many bridal hairstyles to choose from and many things to consider when choosing your hairstyle, such as the style of your dress and the veil or hair accessory. Perhaps you’re looking for a classic and elegant updo or a soft, romantic, tousled look. You may prefer a more vintage inspired style or a textured, boho look. With so many different styles to choose from, deciding on your perfect wedding day hair can be quite overwhelming, but it is important to choose something you are comfortable with and that reflects you.

You can feel confident knowing that with my experience in wedding hair styling, I will create a stunning hairstyle that will make you feel amazing your big day.

The Booking

  • I have a full price list on my website to view before you make an enquiry. To view my hair and makeup prices please click here.

  • Wedding bookings on peak dates require a minimum booking fee, which is outlined in my price list.

  • A booking fee (£150 for wedding bookings and £50 for special occasions) is taken upon booking to secure your event/wedding date in my diary. This non-refundable payment is then deducted from your event/wedding day final balance.

  • To ensure the availability of your wedding date and cover the administrative costs associated with the trial and wedding services, a booking fee is necessary. While you're welcome to book a trial at any point, it's highly advisable to secure your wedding date as early as possible. This ensures peace of mind for both you and the artist.

  • The amount of hair and makeup services I am able to do on the wedding day will depend on how much time is available on the day, how early you want to start and what time you all need to be ready. I am very used to early starts but understand that not everyone wants to be up at the crack of dawn on their wedding day! Should you wish to have a later start or you have too many bridal party members for me to do on my own, I can bring an additional artist to help share the wedding day services. I charge a fee of £130 per additional artist added to the booking and this is confirmed in your quote.

The Bridal Preview

  • Bridal previews are extremely important and worth having even if you are set on a particular idea for your wedding day. They provide the opportunity to try the look you have in mind and ensure that you feel comfortable with what you’ve chosen. Sometimes a look you have seen on Pinterest or Instagram just doesn’t translate well when created on your own hair. Perhaps that lip colour doesn’t quite work for your complexion, or maybe that smoky eye just feels too heavy in reality. We can discuss the look you want and make adjustments and tweaks so that it works for YOU.

Your bridal preview will probably be the first opportunity for you to meet your stylist and means you will have a familiar face there on the wedding day itself, not just someone you have only read about online. Having the chance to get to know each other means you will feel completely comfortable and relaxed on the big day! It also gives me a chance to get to know your hair and skin type and how best to achieve the look you’re aiming for.

Trialling your hair and makeup allows you to see how your skin and/or hair reacts with the products used and gives you a chance to provide feedback so that any necessary adjustments can be made for the wedding day. Using photographs and notes, I record the methods and products used so I can easily replicate the look on the wedding morning.

  • I recommend having your preview appointment 3-6 months prior to the day of your wedding. It is best not to leave it until the last minute as the sooner you have your trial, the sooner you can put your mind at ease that your vision for hair and makeup will work and you know you’ll look and feel great on your big day! Having a preview several months before the wedding date also allows you to book in for a haircut or colouring appointment and to order any hair accessories or hair extensions, if necessary.

I will do my best to work around your schedule, but understandably my weekends are busy with weddings and I therefore keep trial bookings to Monday–Thursday between 10:00am-5:00pm. I advise having your preview during daylight hours so that you have a clear view of what your hair and makeup will look like on the wedding day. Weekend and evening trial bookings are not available, please bear this in mind when booking your trial date with me.

  • Trials take place at Alice’s home in South Croydon CR2. Alternatively, Alice can travel to your home or choice of venue (a £50 surcharge and travel may apply).

  • Once you have secured your booking with me I will send over a Bridal Information Pack to help you prepare for the trial and wedding day. A good rule of thumb is to arrive with clean and dry hair and a makeup-free face and to wear a top of a similar colour and neckline to your wedding dress. I am happy to answer any questions you have prior to the bridal trial so that you know what to expect.

  • We will talk through your ideas for hair and makeup and I will make suggestions based on my professional experience. I will ask you to complete a pre-trial questionnaire and to send me images of the hair and makeup style you’d like prior to the preview appointment so I have a clear understanding of your vision for your bridal look.

Taking on board your inspiration images and having spoken to you in more depth about your desired look, I will create a hair and/or makeup tailored to your preferences.

Once we’ve created your bridal look and you’re completely happy with everything, I will record all the products used, take photographs, and make notes so that your bespoke wedding hair and makeup look can be replicated with ease on the day of your wedding.

  • Each preview appointment is different, but you should allow around 2-3 hours for a hair and makeup trial or up to 2 hours for a hair-only or makeup-only trial. I will work with you, fine-tuning the hair and makeup until you are completely happy with your overall look.

  • I will ask you to try and pinpoint a particular hair and makeup style you like or a couple of favourites. Too many options can get confusing and can lead to an unsuccessful trial as you might leave still feeling undecided on the style that’s right for you. This is why I ask every bride to research inspiration prior to a trial and really think about the style they would like for their wedding day.

Hair can also be difficult to maintain if it is over-styled and can start to look messy and untidy when it has been put up and taken down several times and overloaded with product. Similarly, skin can get irritated and dry if makeup is applied and removed several times.

If you wish to try several hair and makeup styles, I suggest booking a second trial.

  • Your preview appointment is an intimate opportunity for us to collaborate closely on crafting your perfect bridal look and to get to know each other! To maintain focus and ensure personalised attention, it's best to keep previews one-on-one.

However, if you'd like to bring someone along for support, I recommend limiting it to one guest. While a second opinion can offer valuable feedback, too many voices can become overwhelming, and it's important that the trial remains centred on you.

  • Bridal party trials are not essential, but it can still be useful in some cases. They can be helpful if someone is unsure about how they want their hair and/or makeup on the day and want to try something out prior to the wedding day. There isn’t much time on the wedding morning to experiment with styles, so if someone is unsure about what they want then having a trial beforehand can be a way of avoiding any disappointment or stress on the wedding day. Bridal Party trials can also be useful if you plan for all your bridal party to have matching hair or makeup, as it offers the opportunity to see if a particular style will work for everyone and if any changes and tweaks can be made to ensure this.

The Wedding Day

  • On your wedding day you will be able to sit back and relax with the confidence that you are in my capable hands. I will ensure that everything is prepared and organised so that your day is as stress-free as possible. I will send you a schedule prior to the wedding day so you and your bridal party will know exactly what time you are all needed.

I understand how hectic a wedding morning can be so I am on hand to help out with anything I can and to make the experience as enjoyable and relaxing as possible. I allow time for touch-ups to be made before you leave for the ceremony to ensure you look your best.

  • I normally allow the following timings for wedding day hair and makeup:

Bride Hair and Makeup: 2 hours
Bride Hair Only: 1 hour 15 min
Bride Makeup Only: 1 hour 15 min
Bridal Party Hair and Makeup: 1 hour 30 mins
Bridal Party Hair Only: 45 mins
Bridal Party Makeup Only: 45 mins

I will send you a schedule prior to the wedding day allocating hair and makeup slots for you and your bridal party. I allow 20 minutes set up time before starting the first service to ensure I am organised and ready to go. I usually start with hair services and then move onto makeup so that the makeup feels fresh for the ceremony. It also means I can concentrate on one service at a time. Should this be an issue due to bridal party members arriving at different times I can alter the schedule accordingly.

I recommend having all the hair and makeup services finished approximately 45-60 mins before everyone needs to leave for the ceremony to allow time for touch-ups and photographs and to avoid rushing around.

  • I can offer this as an additional service. Please let me know when enquiring if this is something you might be interested in so that I can include this in your quote. Prices will depend on the number of extra hours you would like me to stay and how many style changes are required.

Travel

  • I am based in South Croydon, London and cater to the South East, including Central and Greater London, Surrey, Kent, Hampshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, and Sussex.

Please be aware that additional charges may apply for mileage, parking, congestion charges and larger bridal parties where an additional artist is needed. More detail about this can be found in my Terms and Conditions, which will be sent upon your enquiry.

  • Yes, I do take destination wedding bookings! Flights, accommodation and transfers will all need to be provided. I may also charge additional rates for travel days. All charges/fees will be included in your quote.
